Empowering the Future: Sustainable Practices in Museum Education and Professional Development
As social conditions, technological developments, and the roles and professional demands of museums continue to evolve, museum education and professional development face new challenges. Limitations in staffing, resources, and opportunities for professional development are particularly acute for small and local museums, highlighting the importance of building sustainable and locally responsive systems for education, training, and professional support.
Strengthening professional capacities, connecting museum practice with local and community needs, and supporting continuous professional development through interdisciplinary collaboration and professional networks have become critical to the sustainable development of museums. This conference brings together museums, educational institutions, cultural heritage organizations, researchers, and practitioners to share research, practical experience, and innovative approaches to museum education, training, and professional development. Through the perspectives of professional advancement, local engagement, and cross-sector collaboration, participants will explore future-oriented approaches to museum workforce development and sustainable museum practice.
