Access and Inclusion in South and Southeast Asian Museums

3-day workshop will incorporate presentations, hands-on and site visits related to access and inclusion. The workshop will set out to create an attitudinal shift in the way people think about disability, equality and inclusion. Fairness is an important principal in our approach to heritage management. Access during planning and decision making, interpretation and implementation ensures better access to heritage sites. The workshop will analyse progress made in making museums, and the processes used to develop them, physically and intellectually accessible to all. It will explore policies and projects that can be looked upon as sources of inspiration; through case studies it will address challenges, problems and solutions towards universal access.
